Melissa Reed, MPP
Founding Partner
Melissa Reed, MPP is Founding Partner at Re/solve Strategies. In serving local governments, Fortune 100 companies, trade associations, small businesses and nonprofit clients for over two decades at all levels of government, Melissa is known as an impactful and collaborative advocate and policy expert.
While serving under three mayors of the City of Minneapolis, Melissa secured over $150 million in capital investment in the city’s vital infrastructure and led public policy and lobbying efforts on issues related to public finance, capital investment, transportation, jobs and economic development, public safety and criminal justice reform, and regulatory matters at the state and federal levels.
Over her extensive career, Melissa has supported clients in developing strategic approaches to achieve legislative, regulatory, and procurement goals across the policy and political spectrum.
Melissa holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota and a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison
Ian Marsh
Founding Partner
Ian Marsh is Founding Partner at Re/solve Strategies. He is an experienced political strategist and government relations professional, advising private sector companies, nonprofit organizations, and trade associations on issues related to commerce, health care, energy, consumer products, and transportation. He is known for his thoughtful strategic advice, vast knowledge of the legislative process, and deep relationships at the State Capitol.
Ian has spent the entirety of his more than two-decade professional career in the halls of the Minnesota State Capitol. Prior to cofounding Re/solve Strategies with Melissa Reed, Ian was a senior principal at firms where he representing various clients at the State Capitol.
Ian previously served as a key leadership staffer in the Minnesota House, serving several leaders including the Speaker of the House. In the 2010 election cycle, he led the House Republican Caucus’ campaign efforts netting 25 seats and the majority, the largest legislative campaign victory in the nation. Ian holds a B.A. from Bethel University.
